Mitchell Starc is on cloud nine.
The Aussie fast bowler cum batsman recently landed the deal of a lifetime. He became the most expensive player in the IPL (Indian Premier League) auction history.
Shah Rukh Khan’s cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders picked up Starc for a whopping sum of Rs 24.75 crore!
Following this historic bidding, the social media handles of KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) shared a video of the ace batsman along with the caption, “Welcome back record-breaker!” In the video, the cricketer addresses his fans and says, “Hey, KKR fans; I'm thrilled to be joining the team for this year's IPL. And I can't wait to get to Eden Gardens to experience the home fans, the home crowd, and the atmosphere. I look forward to seeing you then.
Ami KKR.”
In an interview with ESPN, Starc said his selection had initially shocked him. “ Nothing I could've ever imagined. Thoroughly thrilled to be joining KKR,” he told the magazine.
