Princess Märtha Louise, the eldest child of Norway's King Harald, married Durek Verrett, a self-described shaman from California. The wedding took place in Geiranger, a popular tourist spot in Norway. The ceremony followed three days of festivities and was held in a large white tent on a lush lawn.
The wedding was attended by various social media influencers, reality stars and TV personalities. Norwegian and U.S. artists performed, along with a gospel choir and a Sámi singer. The ceremony was described by Norwegian TV personality Harald Rønneberg as a blend of Hollywood and Geiranger, filled with gospel music, laughter, and emotional moments.

The couple sold the wedding photo rights to British magazine Hello! and the film rights to Netflix, causing protests from Norwegian media.
King Harald, who has been in poor health, attended the wedding with Queen Sonja and other Norwegian royals. Swedish royals, including Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, also attended. However, no other European royals were present at the event.
Louise and Verrett, who claims to communicate with spirits, became engaged in 2022. After their marriage, Verrett will not receive a royal title or official duties.
