After the 2024 Paris Games ended, the countdown to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics have already begun, along with eyes on the hosts of the 2036 Games, where multiple nations are lining up their bids to host it in one of their premier cities. It is yet to be seen if the 2036 Games go to Asia, after the 2024 and 2028 Games, are slated for Europe and USA respectively. Even the 2032 Games are scheduled for Brisbane, Australia, leaving Asia as a viable continent for hosting the Olympic Games.
Is India going to host the 2036 Olympics?
There are chances that India can place their bid for hosting the 2036 Summer Olympics, as India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently in a strong international position, having been elected for the third consecutive time as the PM. Meanwhile, India will be backed by the billionaire Ambani family, who are ardent sports enthusiasts, with Nita Ambani, who is an IOC member since 2016, having already stated that India is looking at hosting the Olympic Games soon.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar could place bids for 2036 Games
Saudi Arabia already have a rich economy and enhanced facilities for hosting a major international competition like the Olympic Games, while Qatar already has experience of hosting major events, with the biggest one recently being the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which was a massive success.
