Investigators say the man's wife allegedly stole $20 million or about Rs 175 crore from the company over seven years while working as its financial controller. Though she has since been removed from her position, authorities have not confirmed whether she was aware of the kidnapping.
The owner was driving to his company’s Las Vegas office on Thursday when he noticed a purple Lamborghini at an intersection near Starr Avenue and Dean Martin Drive. Once in the desert, the owner was struck again before being forced onto his knees at gunpoint. According to the arrest report, it was at that moment he feared for his life.
