'Quantum Leap' Season 2, NBC has announced that it will not proceed with a third season. The original show was released on NBC 30 years ago when Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator. It was followed by the new show, which premiered in 2022 and starred Raymond Lee as Ben Song. It revolved around a physicist, portrayed by Song, who traveled through time and inhabited different people's bodies, fixing their problems.
The cast of the follow-up series included Caitlin Bassett, Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanrisa Lee. Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt served as executive producers alongside Martin Gero via Quinn’s House, Dean Georgaris, Deborah Pratt, Chris Grismer, and Alex Berger. Gero and Georgaris served as co-showrunners.

Debuted on NBC in September 2022, 'Quantum Leap' was renewed for a second season in December of that year. 'Quantum Leap' Season 2 launched in October 2023, with the season finale airing in February. It will now serve as the series finale. There will be no Season 3.
The decision came after NBC announced recently that it would renew 'Chicago Med,' 'Chicago Fire,' 'Chicago P.D.,' 'Law & Order' and 'Law & Order: SVU' for the 2024-2025 season.
