Witch Watch: See anime show’s release date, plot, cast and where to watch
Witch Watch, in April 2025. The anime is based on the manga by Kenta Shinohara and directed by Hiroshi Ikehata. The series will be available globally and will include multiple language dubs after its initial release.
Release Date and Where to Watch
Netflix confirmed in February 2025 that Witch Watch would premiere worldwide in April. The release date is now set for April 6, 2025. In the United States, Netflix is one of several distributors. Other platforms, such as Hulu and Crunchyroll, will also stream the series. GKIDS, a US distributor, screened the first three episodes in theaters in mid-March 2025.

When the episodes are first released, only the original Japanese version will be available. Netflix Anime has stated that dubs in English, Spanish (LATAM and Spain), Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian and Thai will be added three weeks after each episode’s release.
Plot
Witch Watch follows Nico Wakatsuki, a young witch who completes six years of training. After her training, she must select a familiar. Instead of an animal, she chooses her childhood friend, Morihito “Moi” Otogi. Moi is reluctant to accept the role but agrees after learning the consequences of refusing. As they begin living together, a prophecy predicts Nico’s downfall within a year. Moi must protect her and fulfill his duties as her familiar.
