Gurgaon is accused of not paying a driver Rs 2,000 after roaming in his cab for over 12 hours. A video of the accused arguing with police was shared on Twitter by journalist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj. As per the post, the woman took the cab around 10 p.m.
and made the driver roam till 11 a.m. in the morning. However, when the cab driver demanded Rs 2,000, she refused to pay.
The woman can be seen in the video arguing with even the police officials present. She even accused the journalist of interfering in the matter. As per Bhardwaj, the woman has similarly harassed other cab drivers in the past as well.
Describing the situation, Bhardwaj tweeted: «Scenes from Huda City Centre Gurgaon. This woman Jyoti hired cab by Irshad last night at 10pm & made him roam till 11am in morning. Refused to pay 2000.
Poor man had to call Police. Look how she's yelling even at cops. She has done this to other cab drivers too @gurgaonpolice.» «Apparently, she takes cab rides & then refuses to pay driver, threatening to then file Harrassment or Molestation case.
Another video where she did same with someone else. Heights of misuse of laws by women who don't spare even poor men,» she adding, tagging Gurgaon Police. Deepika said she was going for a meeting but «stopped to help realising that she's troubling some hapless man there & even cops.
She called me extremely abusive names & almost attacked me but cops intervened. They looked so helpless.» She also exhorted the Twitterati to come forward to help the cab driver. «If anyone wants to speak to this driver or help him please DM.
