Wordle is a word puzzle designed by Engineer Josh Wardle. Initially, the word puzzle game was designed by him for his wife and close relatives. However, it was later bought by The New York Times for six figures. Wordle is a unique puzzle game in which you have to decipher a five letter word given in a grid by randomly typing in letters across and down. But, there is a twist! You only have six attempts to decipher the word. Wordle is available on the NYT website and is completely ad-free and comes without any log in or sign up formalities. It is globally accessible and is one of the most played online games which can be played on mobile browsers and PCs both.
