His grandmother, Indira, was the only daughter of Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the Maharaja of Baroda. Bharat married Moon Moon Sen in 1978. Moon Moon also has royal lineage, being the daughter of iconic Bengali actress Suchitra Sen and Dibanath Sen. Her father hailed from a prominent family in Ballygunge Place and was the son of Adinath Sen, one of Kolkata’s wealthiest businessmen. Additionally, her great-grandfather, Dinanath Sen, served as the Diwan (minister) to the Maharaja of Tripura.
