US techie sues TCS for discrimination against Americans and favouring Indians on H-1B visas
TCS) in the global consulting practice, has taken legal action against the tech giant, alleging discriminatory employment practices. In a lawsuit filed in a US court, Devorin claims that TCS exhibits bias towards H-1B visa-holder employees of Indian/South Asian origin while targeting older American workers for termination to make room for Indian nationals and «freshers». Devorin has demanded a jury trial to address these allegations of discrimination. According to the complaint, Devorin was informed in July last year that his team was disbanded, and he was required to apply for a consultant role directly on an engagement. Despite his persistent efforts through emails and applications, Devorin's attempts did not progress beyond the initial stage. He believes that the resource management group intentionally hindered his applications. In contrast, a younger Indian employee swiftly secured a role and was offered multiple positions, none of which were extended to Devorin.

Why flexicap mutual funds are panacea for balanced risks-to-returns?
equity markets through mutual funds, investors can choose from a wide variety of schemes like the smallcap, midcap fund or largecap fund, or choose a combination of the same under the flexicap fund. The capital market regulator has defined the top 100 companies by market value as largecap companies, the next 150 companies as midcap companies, and beyond the top 250 companies by market value are called smallcap companies. An investor can allocate funds across these different market cap companies either by choosing the amount to be allocated to each fund category individually or leaving the decision to a fund manager who would allocate across different categories of market caps dynamically depending on various factors like current market conditions, future growth outlook and relative valuations. It appears a large number of investors prefer to leave the judgment of allocation across the different market caps to the fund manager, as evidenced by the fact that the flexicap category is the largest category among all equity mutual fund schemes today commanding almost close to Rs 3.5 lakh crores worth of assets, which is larger than any category of mutual fund schemes.

Sensex jumped 3 times from 25,000 to 75,000 in 10 years of PM Modi’s rule
Sensex, which crossed the 75,000 milestone in Tuesday's session, had broken the 25,000 barrier 10 years ago on May 16, 2014, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the Lok Sabha elections. This translates into a return of three times on the index itself. The market capitalisation of all BSE-listed stocks on that day 10 years ago was just Rs 81 lakh crore and has now jumped multi-fold to an all-time peak of Rs 400 lakh crore, making India the fifth largest stock market in the world.

China's territorial ambitions: Threat to global peace and stability
China's insatiable territorial ambitions and blatant disregard for the sovereignty of other nations have become a grave threat to global peace and stability. The country's recent audacious move to assign Mandarin names to 30 locations in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh is a stark reminder of its brazen tactics to lay claim to territories beyond its borders. This cartographic aggression is part of Beijing's long-standing strategy to rewrite history and normalize its illegitimate territorial claims. It is the fourth such list of names released since 2017, following Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Arunachal Pradesh in March – a move that prompted China to lodge a baseless diplomatic protest, asserting that the state belongs to them. China's claims over Arunachal Pradesh stem from its belief that the state is part of «Zangnan» or «Southern Tibet,» a region it considers an integral part of its territory. However, this belief is rooted in a flawed understanding of history and a blatant disregard for India's sovereignty.
