Provident awards President track country recommendations University College London unveils 100 new scholarships for Indian students
University College London (UCL) has announced a new scholarship scheme to enable 100 of India's brightest students to study in the UK as well as its first-ever Summer School for pre-university students in the country. UCL, one of the UK's leading universities, said on Tuesday that its new India Excellence Scholarships will support Indian students with an outstanding academic record to pursue full-time Master's degree studies at the institution. Click here For the 2024-25 academic year, 33 scholarships will be available for exceptional students who have or are on track to achieve a first-class degree. A further 67 scholarships will be awarded during the following two years. “We are delighted to be able to offer these new and diverse opportunities that both illustrate our ongoing commitment to Indian students and strengthen our connection with India,” said Dr Michael Spence, President and Provost of UCL. “Indian students are vital members of UCL's global community and we are dedicated to providing more resources and support to help the very best of them share their knowledge and expertise with us in the UK,” he said.

Black Mirror created by Charlie Brooker is returning for a seventh season. The series has been renewed by Netflix and will stream on its platform. The sixth season ended in June which had premiered four years after the fifth season of the show. The science fiction series, is mostly set in the near-future dystopias, has gone through several iterations since it was launched on the UK’s Channel 4 in 2011. The show was given a budget boost after Netflix picked it up in 2016. The sixth season had reached the top of Netflix's Streaming Top 10 in 92 countries when the show premiered in June and remained in Netflix's global top 10 English-speaking TV for four weeks. The sixth season which consisted of five episodes had a host of stars including Salma Hayek, Annie Murphy, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett and Paapa Essiedu. Meanwhile, season 5 just had three parts and the cast members included Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace and Miley Cyrus. The casting for season 7 has not yet been confirmed while the details about the series such as plot, number of episodes are still being kept under the wraps.
