EQT. That in turn is translating to unprecedented deal volumes. “It's one of the most active deal pipelines we've ever had here,” said Jean Salata, Chairperson EQT Asia. “We're looking at deals worth $5 billion that could close before the end of this calendar year. It's really, it's really ramped up. A single deal we are looking at is $2. 5 billion, and there's several others that are sort of in the $1 billion range.” India has been the single largest geography for the firm’s Asian investment programme by far, representing about 40% of the total portfolio, Salata said. It’s also the strongest performing geography.

India set to send teams to Chile seeking lithium and copper assets, report says
lithium and copper resources, a government source said, as rapid economic expansion and New Delhi's efforts to speed up the energy transition stoke demand for critical minerals. Chile is a key target as it is the world's biggest supplier of copper and the second-biggest producer of lithium, which are essential for electric vehicle batteries and renewable energy systems in the push away from fossil fuels. As part of India's drive to explore overseas for mineral assets, state firms National Aluminium Company, Hindustan Copper and unlisted Mineral Exploration and Consultancy have set up a company called Khanij Bidesh India (KABIL).

Covid was not supposed to get to Antarctica. If any place had a hope of keeping the virus out, it would be a continent with no permanent residents and an annual visiting population of only 5,000. Cockpit Mishap Might Have Caused Plunge on Latam Boeing 787
A cockpit seat mishap might have pushed a pilot into the controls on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner that took a sudden, terrifying plunge on a flight to New Zealand this week, according to U.S. industry officials briefed on preliminary evidence from an investigation of the incident. A Latam Airlines flight attendant hit a switch on the pilot’s seat while serving a meal, leading a motorized feature to push the pilot into the controls and push down the plane’s nose, these officials said.
