Zydus Lifesciences shares will be in focus on Wednesday after the company secured final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture a generic version of Apalutamide tablets, used to treat prostate cancer. The approval covers Apalutamide tablets of 60 mg strength, the company said in a regulatory filing. The drug will be manufactured at Zydus Lifesciences' SEZ facility in Ahmedabad.

NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, celebrated her safe return to Earth on Wednesday by performing aarti and offering prayers after she spent nearly nine months in space. The celebrations began after the successful splashdown of the Dragon spacecraft, which brought Williams back to Earth along with Crew-9 members Butch Wilmore, Nick Hague, and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov. Zydus Lifesciences shares surged nearly 2% to Rs 899.40 on the BSE on Monday after the company received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture Eluxadoline Tablets (75 mg and 100 mg). Eluxadoline, a mu-opioid receptor agonist, is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D) in adults. The tablets will be manufactured at Zydus Lifesciences' SEZ facility in Ahmedabad, the company said in an exchange filing.

Amit Shah on Sunday urged the Bodo community to prepare for the upcoming 2036 Olympics, which is proposed to be held in Ahmedabad. Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Gurugram on Friday arrested Ashish Bhalla, promoter of the WTC Group, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in connection with a massive real estate fraud. Bhalla is accused of cheating and duping thousands of investors through a well-planned conspiracy. During the investigation, it was found that investors were promised assured returns in exchange for their investments in plots and commercial spaces. However, instead of delivering on these promises, the funds were allegedly diverted to several shell companies. These companies were used to acquire land in multiple locations.

The company is introducing country's first flu protection quadrivalent influenza virus vaccine as per WHO recommended composition, the Ahmedabad-based drug major said in a statement.

A senior faculty member of IIM-A, at the request of the health ministry, has spoken to all the four boards at NMC—the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB), Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) and Medical Assessment Rating Board (MARB), and has prepared a report on how to improve the NMC’s day-to-day-functioning and address the challenges.
