At AQI of 323, Delhi's air quality continues to remain in 'very poor' category
National Capital continued to experience 'very poor' air quality on Tuesday morning, with an air quality index (AQI) of 323, as per the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR-India). AQI in IIT Delhi was recorded at 321, the Airport (Terminal 3) area at 336 and Pusa at 337, as per the SAFAR. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), at 7:41 am, AQI in Anand Vihar was recorded at 374, in Jahangirpuri at 399, in Lodhi Road at 315, and in New Moti Bagh at 370. The Air Quality Index from 0 to 100 is considered as good, while from 100 to 200 it is moderate, from 200 to 300 it is poor, and from 300 to 400 it is said to be very poor and from 400 to 500 or above it is considered as severe. The Air Quality Index is a tool for effectively communicating air quality status to people in terms that are easy to understand.

NEW DELHI : Purple Style Labs, the parent of luxury fashion omni-channel platform Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, has secured an $8-million (about ₹66.6 crore) Series-D round led by Sanket Parekh of the Pidilite family office, with participation from Signet, the family office of Harish Shah, Hira Group’s family office and other investors. Existing investors also participated, including Singularity Growth Opportunities Fund I, Neelesh Bhatnagar of NB Ventures, fashion designer Masaba Gupta, and the former partners of Premji Invest, Rahul Garg and Atul Gupta. The company was valued at $352 million for the fundraising.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), PTI reported citing officials aware of the development. The monthly wages of skilled workers are likely to be increased by ₹528 to ₹20,903, that of semi-skilled workers by ₹494 to ₹18,993 and of unskilled labourers from ₹16,792 to ₹17,234, the official said. Now, the per day wage of an unskilled worker in Delhi will be ₹ 574.47, for semi-skilled ₹ 633.10 and for skilled workers ₹696.77.

air quality in the national capital continued to remain 'very poor' on Monday morning, with an AQI of 310. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR-India), the air quality index in Delhi was recorded at 310 at 8:30 am on Monday, categorising it as 'very poor.' As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data recorded at 7:00 am on Monday, the air quality index at Anand Vihar was recorded at 361; it was 368 at Alipur; Ashok Vihar at 342; ITO, Delhi at 318; and at RK Puram, it was recorded at 344, all falling into the 'very poor' category. A day after restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) — 4 were lifted in Delhi following improvement in the air quality, Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Sunday urged people to be careful and continue to follow the rules as stages 1, 2, and 3 of GRAP are still in place to tackle air pollution in the national capital.
