UPS Cooper security community Celebrity cover peace 'We will not run, we are not cowards': AIMIM chief Assadudin Owaisi questions calls for Muslims to stay indoors during Holi
AIMIM chief Assadudin Owaisi on Friday criticized calls for Muslims to stay indoors or cover themselves during Holi, asserting the community's strength by saying, «We will not run, we are not cowards.» «Some say if you're so scared, you should not offer namaz and stay indoors. They say just like we have covered our mosques, we must cover ourselves also, or else stay indoors,» Owaisi said while addressing a gathering at Chowk-e-Masjid in Telangana's Hyderabad. His remarks were in response to statements by some officials advising Muslims to remain indoors if they did not want to be colored during Holi. In Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal, Circle Officer Anuj Chaudhary had on March 6 suggested that those uncomfortable with colours should stay inside, a comment later backed by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Several mosques in Uttar Pradesh were covered with tarpaulin on orders from the local administration to prevent any untoward incidents during Holi celebrations. «Those who migrated to Pakistan were cowards. We will not run, we are not cowards. A Chief Minister said Jumma namaz can be offered at home as well… Who is he to tell us what we can and cannot do?» Owaisi added.

markets UPS Citi Digital information reports Hyderabad’s peripheral real estate markets poised for transformative growth amid infrastructure growth
While established hotspots in West and Central Hyderabad continue to drive real estate activity, peripheral areas—including the North, South, East, and West peripheries—are projected to account for 12-15% of Hyderabad’s Grade A office stock and 5-10% of annual office space demand in the next 3-5 years, according to Colliers’ latest report, ‘Hyderabad: Emerging Real Estate Growth Hotspots’. The residential market is also set to witness significant traction, with property prices in these peripheral areas expected to rise by 10-20% over the same period. “Hyderabad’s office market continues to mature, driving one-fifth of the demand and over one-fourth of the new supply across the top six cities in India during 2024. The city’s peripheral areas are set to enter a transformative growth phase, fueled by upcoming infrastructure projects and supportive government policies. The West Periphery micro-market, particularly areas like Kokapet, Neopolis, and Narsingi, is likely to witness heightened commercial activity, driven by price arbitrage compared to established IT hubs of Gachibowli and HITEC City, along with enhancements in metro connectivity,” said Arpit Mehrotra, Managing Director, Office Services, Colliers India.

H-1B visa applications has dropped significantly this year, according to local agents and consultancies in Hyderabad. Hyderabad, known as a major hub for global technology companies, houses offices of several multinational firms such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Oracle. The city has been a key contributor to India’s IT exports and a large base for professionals seeking US work visas like H-1B. However, this year, local consultancies report a drastic decline in applications, reflecting growing concerns among professionals. Arun Teja Bukkaparapu, who runs a consultancy in Hyderabad, told TOI's Nirupa Vatyam, «I have not even received a single call about H-1B filing until now.» He pointed out that increasing uncertainty over US jobs, along with a steep hike in the application fee from USD 10 to USD 215, has discouraged many potential applicants.
