RBI lifts its supervisory restrictions on Sachin Bansal-led Navi Finserv Limited
Reserve Bank of India on Monday announced decision to remove its supervisory restrictions on Sachin Bansal's Navi Finserv Limited following several rounds of interaction with the company for rectification of deficiencies. «RBI had several rounds of interaction with the company for rectification of deficiencies. Now, having satisfied itself based on company’s submissions, and in view of adoption of revamped processes, systems, and the company’s commitment to ensure adherence to the Regulatory Guidelines on an ongoing basis, especially for ensuring fairness in the loan pricing, the Reserve Bank has decided to lift the afore-mentioned restrictions placed on Navi Finserv Limited, with immediate effect,» said RBI in the statement. The central bank on October 17, 2024 had issued directions to Navi Finserv Limited, Bengaluru (and three other NBFCs), to cease and desist from sanction and disbursal of loans, effective from close of business of October 21, 2024.

We firmly believe that everyone should coexist peacefully and happily,» he added.

RG Kar College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh allegedly helped two cartels in procuring hospital contracts, the agency has said in its recently filed chargesheet. The special court has taken the chargesheet on record but it is yet to take its cognisance because the West Bengal government has not provided sanction to prosecute Ghosh and other accused. Ghosh had resigned as the principal of the state-run institute on August 12 in the aftermath of the rape and murder of a trainee doctor on its premises. The CBI has named Ghosh, former House Staff of the medical college Ashish Kumar Pandey, and businessmen Biplab Singha of Maa Tara Traders, Suman Hazra of Hazra Medical and Afsar Ali Khan of Eshan Cafe, in the charge sheet.

Officials assured Reddy that trial runs along the 4-kilometer segment between Dum Dum Cantonment and Jai Hind station will commence as planned in December. The adjoining 3-kilometer stretch between Noapara and Dum Dum Cantonment had undergone test runs last year and received the necessary safety clearances from the Commission of Railway Safety (CRS). Phase I of the Yellow Line has since been extended to include the airport.
