Tinder murder case: Three convicts sentenced to life imprisonment
In his order on Friday, Sessions Judge Ajit Kumar Hinger said the prosecution has presented adequate evidence to authenticate facts. Priya Seth (27), the main accused, befriended Dushyant Sharma on Tinder and later called him to a rented accommodation where she and her two accomplices, Dishkant Kamra and Lakshya Walia, held him hostage to demand ransom from his family. Maharashtra govt’s new policy to boost ‘Housing for All’, investments, says Housing Minister Save
Maharashtra has been planning to effect necessary requisites in the state's new housing policy to make 'Housing for All' a reality and to ensure that every citizen gets their own house either through housing body MHADA or slum rehabilitation projects or through other developments, said Housing Minister Atul Save. In order to boost affordable housing, the government will also find ways to push new investments in the state's housing sector, he said while speaking at a NAREDCO Maharashtra conference. The minister added that the state government's focus is to ensure a maximum flow of housing in Mumbai and the state and provide all the possible support to the real estate sector and bring in new investments. “As the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisaged under the PM Awaas Yojana to ensure 'Housing for All', the State Government believes that every citizen of Maharashtra should get his own house through the MHADA or SRA schemes or otherwise… The real estate and construction sector should get a required priority,” he said. Several issues pending in the state's housing sector will be resolved in the new housing policy and 80% draft work of the new policy has been completed and suggestions of the new stakeholders would be considered before finalizing the same. Other departments like home, urban development, revenue, and slum rehabilitation authority (SRA) have also been involved in the policy making, Save added. «More than 50% of the population in the city still lives in slums and about 20% to 30% of slums are to be redeveloped.

MHADA set to implement GIS-based property mapping from new year
MHADA) is set to implement the final phase of work related to the Geographical Information System (GIS)-based asset and inventory management system that will help in managing the housing body's land and properties. Sanjeev Jaiswal, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of MHADA has directed concerned authorities to initiate the implementation of this system from the beginning of the new year. According to Jaiswal, this system, based on GIS, would prove to be a boon for the future housing development projects and land management sectors of MHADA. This system will provide immediate access to information regarding the housing body's current land holdings, potential development on land, encroachments, reservations, and available vacant lands, empowering efficient land management. The GIS-based asset and inventory management system will enable comprehensive surveys and assessments of various housing society properties in Mumbai and across the state through GIS mapping. Moreover, satellite imagery will be used to capture accurate representations of structures on existing lands, facilitating precise instructions for site locations, along with the inclusion of satellite images acquired from satellites to enhance accuracy. Jaiswal suggested expanding the scope of these directives by incorporating information on redevelopment projects covered under Regulation 33/5, 33/7, and 33/9, from inception to the current status and the future prospect of the project, into the system.
