National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) inaugurated a 244 km stretch of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway between Jhabua of Madhya Pradesh to Modak of Rajashtan, near Jhalawar, on Wednesday i.e September 20, 2023. The new stretch of the expressway is passing through Madhya Pradesh covering several districts in the western region. This new road connectivity for the state passing through Jhabua, Mandsaur and Ratlam districts in Madhya Pradesh, connecting major cities, including Garoth, Jaora, Ratlam, and Thandla will open a direct conduit to New Delhi, the national capital and, Mumbai, the financial capital of the nation, the Times of India reported.

New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Thursday said it has implemented new norms related to watch duty hours and rest requirements for air traffic controllers at 57 airports, the regulator said today. The new norms mandate that duty period of air traffic controllers shall not exceed 12 hours and there must be a gap of at least 12 hours between the end of one shift and the beginning of the next shift.

India and Nepal approved plans to enhance their cross-border transmission infrastructure to boost electricity trade during 14th meeting of Joint Technical Team (JTT), reported India Narrative. Punjab gangster-turned-terrorist Sukhdool Singh alias Sukha Duneke was allegedly killed by unidentified gunmen in Canada on Wednesday, intelligence sources said citing inputs coming in from Canada on Thursday morning. An official confirmation is yet awaited. Duneke, who belonged to Moga in Punjab, was a close associate of designated terrorist Arsh Dalla of the Khalistan Tiger Force.

Under the MoU, PFC's financial support in form of term loan is tentatively proposed to range from ₹80,000 crore to ₹90,000 crore, demonstrating a substantial commitment to the realization of these vital projects.

Asian premium is an extra amount levied by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) from Asian countries above the actual selling price. India has repeatedly pressed oil producers to eliminate this premium and even asked for an ‘Asian discount’ instead.
