Rajeev Misra’s OneIM upsizes to $8 billion to boost investments
SoftBank Vision Fund’s former co-chief executive officer Rajeev Misra, has upped its size by more than $1 billion this month to support its growing operations as it opens offices in countries such as Japan and India, according to people familiar with the matter. The fundraising has increased OneIM’s size to $8 billion, the people said, asking not to be named as the information is not public. The two-year-old fund plans to open an office in New Delhi, adding to its presence in New York, London, Abu Dhabi and Tokyo, they said. OneIM is backed by Abu Dhabi conglomerate Royal Group and Mubadala Investment Co., one of the emirate’s sovereign wealth funds, Bloomberg News reported earlier. The investment vehicle will look for lending and investment opportunities globally, and some of these deals could be in partnership with its existing backers, the people said.

Traffic police in Delhi slaps fines totalling Rs 1 crore for violations after GRAP-3 invoked
Delhi Traffic Police has issued around 550 challans, imposing a total fine of over Rs one crore, to BS III petrol and BS IV diesel vehicles on Friday on the first day of the ban on these vehicles under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) III in the national capital, officials said. According to police, they have also issued challans to 4,855 vehicles imposing a total of Rs 4.8 crore in fines for not having Pollution Under Control Certificates (PUCC) in the national capital on Friday. A fine of Rs 10,000 is imposed on motorists for not having a valid pollution under control (PUC) certificate. These challans get released from courts. Private BS III petrol and BS IV diesel vehicles were banned from roads with violations inviting a penalty of Rs 20,000. Diesel and petrol inter-state buses from the NCR cities to Delhi are also banned. A senior police officer said that they have issued a total of 293 challans for BS-III and BS-IV vehicles in the eastern, central and northern ranges of the city. A total of 2,404 challans have been issued for not having PUCC certificates.

New Delhi-based Boat may aim for a valuation of over $1.5 billion, sources said, adding these numbers may change closer to the IPO filing. It’s targeting a public offer in next financial year. Boat had filed draft papers for a public offering in 2022 but halted those plans citing market conditions and raised $60 million in private capital through convertible preferred stocks notes from existing investor Warburg Pincus and new investor Malabar Investments at a minimum valuation cap of around $1.2 billion. “ICICI Securities is the lead banker for the issue and they are looking to file for next financial year,” one of the persons said. “In total they have finalised four bankers.”
