Steven Tyler's band Aerosmith delays 2023 tour to 2024. This is what happened
Aerosmith has postponed their 2023 tour to the following year due to a severe vocal injury sustained by Steven Tyler. Initially diagnosed as «bleeding vocal cords,» Tyler's condition has now been revealed to be more critical than initially thought. In a statement released on social media, the band disclosed that Tyler fractured his larynx, necessitating ongoing medical attention. Although he is receiving top-notch care, the nature of the fracture requires patience. Following Tyler's vocal injury, six tour dates were rescheduled to 2024, starting in January and concluding in late February. These concerts were originally planned for Detroit, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Raleigh and Cleveland. The band's earlier expectation of returning by October 11 has been dashed. The band has indicated that new dates will be announced once more information becomes available. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled concerts, and refunds will be offered to those unable to attend the yet-to-be-announced new dates. Tyler also shared a personal message, expressing his heartbreak at not being able to perform with Aerosmith and the Black Crowes, but promising a swift return to the stage. Similarly, Bruce Springsteen has had to postpone all of his September shows due to struggles with peptic ulcer disease. His representatives stated that Springsteen is undergoing treatment and that the tour dates, originally set to conclude in mid-December, are being postponed out of an abundance of caution. Currently, the only concerts on Springsteen's schedule are a series of rescheduled shows in Philadelphia next August.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2023 tour will be postponed until 2024, citing doctor’s advice. The Boss, who last week celebrated his 74th birthday, is “steadily recovering” from peptic ulcer disease, a press release read. “Out of an abundance of caution,” the remainder of this year’s tour has been pushed to next year.Earlier this month, Springsteen announced that he would be postponing all of his September 2023 dates while he was treated for symptoms related to the disease, which causes ulcers to form in the stomach or small intestine that can cause heartburn, nausea and stomach pain. Those postponed shows included stops in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Albany and Syracuse in New York, Pittsburgh, Washington, and shows in Connecticut and Ohio. The newly postponed shows include shows all across Canada, in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Montreal — as well as two dates in Toronto. The Boss’ West Coast run of Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco has also been postponed.Rescheduled concerts will be announced this week and will take place at the original venues.Peptic ulcer disease can be dangerous, leading to bleeding and emergency situations such as perforation of the ulcer through the stomach.

Aerosmith delays ‘Peace Out: The Farewell Tour’ after Steven Tyler's injury. See what happened
Aerosmith's ‘Peace Out: The Farewell Tour’, marking over 50 years together, faces delays following Steven Tyler's vocal cord injury at the UBS Arena on September 9. Steven Tyler, the frontman, shared that doctors ordered him not to sing for 30 days due to vocal cord damage and bleeding sustained during a recent show. As a result, several tour dates will be rescheduled to ensure a proper performance for fans. Six concerts have been moved to 2024, starting in January and concluding in February. The affected cities include Detroit, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Raleigh and Cleveland. Previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates, and refunds are available for those unable to attend. Aerosmith had commenced their ‘Peace Out: The Farewell Tour’ on September 2 in Philadelphia, completing only three out of 40 scheduled dates. Notably, in December of the previous year, the band had to cancel the final two shows of their Las Vegas residency due to an undisclosed illness affecting Steven Tyler. Additionally, earlier in their journey, they had postponed dates to enable Tyler to seek treatment for addiction issues that arose following foot surgery.
