India considers sending Armenia more weapons
A senior Armenian official visited Delhi recently and held discussions in this regard, said people with knowledge of the matter. India has emerged as a credible weapons supplier as per Armenia's requirements, they said. Details of fresh supplies are not known yet but the consignment could include equipment that would help to create a deterrence amid the conflict-like situation with Azerbaijan, according to observers in Armenia, who did not wish to be identified. The last consignment sent by India to Armenia included Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers, anti-tank missiles, rockets and ammunition.

Steady Russia-Armenia ties imperative for stability in Caucus
Nikol Pashinyan skipped the CIS summit in Kyrgyzstan last week, Russia-Armenia ties are striving to remain steady as the partnership serves national interests of both countries. While there are fears that Russia-West conflict might “spread to Armenia '' in the backdrop of exodus from Nagarno-Karabah, Armenia and Ukraine are two different situations despite rising differences of opinion between Moscow and Yerevan. Armenia is a member of the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization and has a bilateral defense agreement with Russia. Armenia and Russia have strategic partnership and Armenia currently hosts around 10,000 Russian troops, 5,000 of which are stationed at Gyumri's 102nd Russian military base.

Almost all ethnic Armenians flee Nagorno-Karabakh
Nagorno-Karabakh dwindled to a trickle Saturday as Armenia said nearly the entire population of the breakaway territory had already fled after Azerbaijan seized back control. An AFP journalist at the Kornidzor crossing into Armenia saw only several ambulances arrive as border guards said they were waiting for a final few buses. In the nearest town of Goris, hundreds of exhausted refugees waited amongst their baggage in the central square for the government to offer accommodation. Azerbaijan's lightning military takeover of the ethnic Armenian enclave last week sparked a sudden exodus that has rewritten the centuries-old ethnic makeup of the disputed region. Armenia said Saturday 100,417 people from an estimated population of 120,000 had fled since the breakaway region saw its decades-long fight against Azerbaijani rule end in sudden defeat. Artak Beglaryan, a former separatist official, said that according to unofficial information «the last groups» of Nagorno-Karabakh residents were on their way to Armenia Saturday. «At most a few hundred persons remain, most of whom are officials, emergency services employees, volunteers, some persons with special needs,» he wrote on social media.
