India and France is putting in place a partnership for security and sovereignty which has a particular meaning, France and India being two major stakeholders in the Indo-Pacific region, noted Thierry Mathou, French Ambassador designate to India. The two countries would also work for a partnership for the planet and global issues which is essential to meet the challenges of climate change, according to Mathou who till recently was French envoy to Thailand. He further noted that France is embracing the concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — One Earth, One Family, One Future- proposed by India as the outlook of the recent G20 Summit. “This Summit gave an opportunity to our leaders to assess and review the progress in our bilateral relations since the historic visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Paris last July as the Guest of Honor of the French National Day on the occasion of 25th anniversary of the France-India Strategic Partnership, at the initiative of President Emmanuel Macron.” “My role is now to implement with determination and ambition for our partnership the roadmap adopted by our leaders…Let me tell you that this is very concrete and is intended to translate into numerous programs and projects that will have an impact on daily life, such as training new generations of Indian students in France where they are welcomed with open arms; create tens of thousands of new jobs in India where French companies are already very active and fully committed to the Make in India motto; bring together our scientists and engineers to advance research and technology in all fields; improve the lives of Indians, whether through water treatment, access to new sources of clean and affordable energy, or the development of transport;

Kalaari MD Vaani Kola talks about breaking glass ceilings in STEM, pays tribute to India's 1st female engineer Ayyalasomayajula Lalitha
STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) was male-dominated. On National Engineers’ Day, Kalaari Capital MD Vani Kola took to LinkedIn, to share the myriad challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated field. She began the post, by sharing that when she was studying BTech in 1980, she was among the handful of women in the engineering college before talking about Ayyalasomayajula Lalitha, India's first woman engineer, who graduated from the College of Engineering, Guindy, in 1943 with a degree in electrical engineering. “I joined engineering college in 1980.By then, there were only a handful of women pursuing engineering. Most families, unlike mine, didn’t encourage girls to pick up engineering.Those 4 years taught me how to navigate naysayers and gender sensitivities. Little did I know then of the women who paved my way,” begins her post. Later she delved into the life of India’s first female engineer. The post went viral on the job portal, gaining more than 338 likes. One LinkedIn user wrote, “Thank you for sharing this inspiring story about Ayyalasomayajula Lalitha and reflecting on your own journey in engineering. Her story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of breaking down barriers and stereotypes in STEM fields and empowering women to pursue their passions and ambitions. Her legacy can serve as an inspiration for future generations of engineers.”

Days after Mexico displays fossils of 'alien corpses', NASA set to publish long-awaited UFO report
NASA is set to release on Thursday the findings of a long-awaited study on unexplained flying objects in Earth's skies. The US space agency announced last year it was reviewing evidence regarding unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAPs — which has replaced the term "UFO" in official parlance. The subject has long fascinated the public but was shunned by mainstream science. An independent team of 16 researchers shared their preliminary observations in May, finding that existing data and eyewitness reports are insufficient to draw firm conclusions, while calling for more systematic collection of high-quality data. It's unlikely Thursday's report will change that bottom line — but it could eventually usher in the start of a new mission for the agency. While NASA's probes and rovers scour the solar system for any fossils of ancient microbes, and its astronomers look for signs of intelligent civilizations on distant planets, its historic posture has been to «debunk» sightings on our home planet. There have been more than 800 «events» collected over 27 years, of which two to five per cent are thought to be possibly anomalous, the report's authors said during the May meeting. These are defined as «anything that is not readily understandable by the operator or the sensor,» or «something that is doing something weird,» said team member Nadia Drake. The US government has begun taking the issue of UAPs more seriously in recent years, in part due to concerns that they are related to foreign surveillance. NASA's work, which relies on unclassified material, is separate from a Pentagon investigation, though the two are coordinating on matters of how to apply scientific tools and methods. In July, a former US intelligence officer made
