Steve Harwell, a founding member and former leader of the US rock band Smash Mouth, known for its hit songs "All Star" and "Walkin' on the Sun," died Monday at age 56, his agent said. Harwell, who left the group in 2021 for health reasons and had been in hospice care in recent days, died at his home in Boise, Idaho "surrounded by family and friends," Smash Mouth manager Robert Hayes told Rolling Stone magazine. Hayes said the cause of death was liver failure.

Ncuti Gatwa has confirmed that he will portray Doctor Who in its Season 15. Most interestingly, the actor revealed this information to ‘Doctor Who’ lead Matt Smith in a drunken condition. Gatwa is most likely to portray the next incarnation of the sci-fi series' central Time Lord in David Tennant's Fourteenth Doctor in a seasonal episode. Talking to ‘Rolling Stone UK’, he said that he had a chance encounter with Eleventh Doctor actor Smith at a party. He talked to him in an inebriated condition and said that he was following in his footsteps. It was a hint that he would portray the character of Doctor Who, which was played by the actor earlier. Gatwa also told Smith that he had seen ‘Sex Education’ and became his fan after watching his portrayal of Eric. Jodie Whittaker and Peter Capaldi also praised the new Doctor Who. Other actors who have played Doctor Who have praised the selection of Gatwa as the lead character of the show. Colin Baker, Paul McGann, and Christopher Eccleston have supported Gatwa on their social media platforms. Sylvester McCoy has issued a video praising Gatwa. Though Gatwa met Smith accidentally and hinted at his role in Doctor Who, the actor praised him. Other and earlier actors portraying Doctor Who have set a positive note for the sci-fi series. People ad experts are waiting for Gatwa’s debut as Doctor Who.

Twitter sent a letter on Wednesday accusing Meta of utilizing its trade secrets in the development of its latest social media platform, Threads. In the letter, Twitter demanded that Meta cease using the confidential information.  Twitter further claimed that Meta had recruited numerous former Twitter employees who had allegedly kept unauthorized devices and documents from their time at Twitter. Additionally, Twitter asserted that Meta deliberately assigned these individuals to work on Threads.
