(Reuters) — Shares in Siemens slumped to their lowest in one year after its finance chief Ralf Thomas commented that revenues at its flagship digital industries division will be flat in the second quarter at a Bank of America conference on Tuesday.

(Reuters) -International Flavors & Fragrances said on Tuesday it would sell its pharma solutions business to French plant-based ingredients maker Roquette for an enterprise value of $2.85 billion, as it looks to focus on higher-margin businesses.

Greece won the UEFA European Championship, a triumph so unexpected that at least one squad member had to rearrange his wedding around the team’s progress. The Greek triumph came a few weeks after Porto, led by a charismatic young coach with hair more pepper than salt, lifted the Champions League trophy. That was after Werder Bremen finished the season as champion of Germany and Valencia secured its second Spanish title in three years. The compilation clip might inspire, in older viewers, that bittersweet pang of nostalgia. Werder Bremen should be able to win the Bundesliga. Porto should be contenders to be champion of Europe. You might not want to watch Greece win the Euros again, but it was nice that it happened. Younger fans, though, may well interpret it differently. They have grown up in an era of dominance and dynasty. The sight of these unfamiliar teams lifting trophies might reinforce their suspicion that soccer is rather better now than it was then.

“At 43000, Indian students form the largest number of international students in Germany. It is important to make the German labour market attractive for Indian students after they get their educational degrees to address the increasing gap in skilled workers in the German labour market,” German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) president, Dr Joybrato Mukherjee, said during a press briefing in New Delhi. He added that following the discussions between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz last year; and Germany’s newly enacted Skilled Immigration Act; Indian students will find a smoother pathway into the German labour market. “For Indian students, who have got German degrees many of which are taught in English; the way to getting employment in Germany and other Schengen area countries is now more attractive. We believe in the concept of brain circulation rather than brain drain and we think that international students who are well qualified can follow a very successful professional career path in Germany,” Dr Mukherjee said.
