The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast generally cloudy skies with heavy rain during the day. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 32 degrees Celsius, the IMD said.

Walmart Vriddhi, the supplier development program of the retail giant, recently announced that it has exceeded its target of training 50,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across India by December 2024. According to a statement, the program has digitally empowered 58,000 MSMEs providing them cost access to business advice, digital training and personalised mentorship opportunities. The Walmart Vriddhi program was launched in 2019 with Swasti as the program partner. The program was aimed to equip MSMEs with the know-how and tools they need to succeed in supply chains by combining Walmart’s supplier development experience and Flipkart’s platform expertise. Currently, over 14,500 MSMEs are onboarded onto Flipkart.

mutual evaluation report (MER) that the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) adopted at its meeting in Singapore recognised the Indian government's achievements in fighting money laundering and the funding of terrorism, the finance ministry said. «The MER adopted in the FATF plenary places India in the 'regular follow-up' category, a distinction shared by only four other G20 countries,» the finance ministry said in a statement on Friday. «This marks a significant milestone in the nation's efforts to combat money laundering (ML) and terrorist financing (TF).» The MER assessed the effectiveness of India's measures to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing, as well as its compliance with FATF norms, the intergovernmental body said in a statement on Friday. «India has reached a high level of technical compliance with the FATF requirements and its anti-money laundering and terrorist financing regime is achieving good results,» the FATF noted.
