Mohapatra. The IMD stated in an official release that it is examining the data and sensors. «The maximum temperature over Delhi NCR varied from 45.2 degree Celsius to 49.1 degrees Celsius in different parts of the city, Mungeshpur reported 52.9 degrees Celsius as an outlier compared to other stations. It could be due to an error in the sensor or the local factor. IMD is examining the data and sensors,» the release mentioned.

This is much higher than the daily exit of about 5,000 seen last year this time to cater to the typical summer season shortfall when many migrant labourers leave for their hometowns.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) committed USD 2.6 billion (about Rs 21,500 crore) in sovereign lending to India in 2023 for various projects. ADB also extended USD 23.53 million in technical assistance and USD 4.1 million in grants under the sovereign portfolio.
