Consumers spent 15 billion hours waiting to make service complaints: Report
customer service complaints. The ServiceNow Customer Experience report analysed the widening gap between rising customer expectations and the reality of service delivery. It surveyed 5,000 Indian consumers and 204 Indian customer service agents. As many as 80% of Indian consumers now rely on AI chatbots for essential services like checking complaint statuses and product recommendations. Yet, these same consumers collectively spend an astounding 15 billion hours on hold each year, according to the report. «While some headway has been made-- the average Indian spent 3.2 hours less time waiting for an issue to be resolved than the previous year--there is still a considerable gap between customer expectations and service delivery. »This gap underscores the disconnect caused by siloed systems and limited visibility into the customer journey and adds to customer disappointment," the report pointed out.

BJP alleges 'Hindu voters removed, Bangladeshis added' in West Bengal’s electoral rolls
Sukanta Majumdar, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in state assembly Suvendu Adhikari and BJP Bengal co-incharge Amit Malviya. Meanwhile, an all-party meeting will be held at the Election Commission’s state office on March 28 to discuss the fake voter issue. BJP State President Sukanta Majumdar blamed “the politics of appeasement” in Bengal and alleged that the Hindus being removed from the voter lists. The MoS has met Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday and apprised him about it. “Failed CM @MamataOfficial's politics of appeasement has reached dangerous levels. Hindus are being selectively removed from West Bengal’s voter list while Bangladeshi infiltrators are being rewarded with voting rights! Evidence of this grave conspiracy was handed over to Union Home Minister @AmitShah Ji yesterday. @AITCofficial’s dream of turning Bengal into #GreaterBangladesh is no longer a secret,” Majumdar posted in his X Handle. Majumdar said that names of several infiltrators have been included in the voter list. Citing an example, Majumdar wrote in his post, “Shahidul Biswas, a resident of Jessore, Bangladesh, is on the voter list of Bagda Assembly. And it’s not just one Shahidul—lakhs of infiltrators have been added, ensuring a slow demographic takeover. This is nothing less than an attack on India’s sovereignty! Mamata Banerjee wants to erase the Hindu identity of Bengal, the land won through the sacrifices of Bharat Kesari Syama Prasad Mukherjee. How long will true sons of Bengal tolerate this betrayal?”

MS Dhoni reveals his finishing mindset; says he is always looking for a six
IPL opener, when Chennai Super Kings' legend MS Dhoni was walking out to bat just for the last couple of deliveries, the crowd in Chepauk lit up with excitement even when they were uncertain of winning. The reason is simple: 'Dhoni may finish'. The wicketkeeper-batsman recently shed light on his finishing approach, emphasizing the importance of maximizing every shot. Speaking to Jio Hotstar, the former Indian captain shared his aggressive batting mindset in high-pressure IPL games. «When you go in to bat, you look at the scoreboard—what the team needs from you. If you are going to face 4-5 deliveries, you try to hit as many big shots as you can. At that moment, the thought process is only about hitting a six. You hardly plan for a four, especially if you have wickets in hand. A four becomes a by-product—you are always looking for a six,» he said. At 43, Dhoni continues to be a key player for CSK, expertly closing innings with his signature power-hitting. He also highlighted the significance of every single run in tight matches.

Indo-Mediterranean: Minorities are under threat from Syria to Bangladesh
conflicts in the Indo-Mediterranean. In Afghanistan the Taliban has completely taken over the country and has launched a diplomatic offensive to gain international acceptance. However, they have disenfranchised the female population banning women from working and studying. Female Afghan citizens find themselves locked in their houses, at the mercy of a regime which gives them no rights, not to mention religious minorities who have left the country. It is not much better in Pakistan, Afghan refugees are being deported to the clutches of the Taliban in the middle of a harsh winter, as the world is distracted from the conflicts of the day. Violence against minority Hindu’s, Christians andAhmadiyya’s is on the rise as Pakistan veers from one political crisis to another. Similar horrifying stories are being told after a regime change in Bangladesh recently saw Nobel Laureate Mohamed Yunus replace elected leader Shiekh Hasina in Dhaka. Hindus, Buddhists, Christians are being singled out and targeted, their businesses destroyed, their leaders arrested on trumped up charges. From the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean, the story repeats itself in Syria where Muslim brotherhood inspired HTS replaced the gruesome Assad regime. Minorities including Kurds, Alawites, Shi’a don’t accept the new regime’s impositions finding themselves dealing with a new government that they fear will be more brutal than the one it replaced. Apart from religious and ethnic minorities it is the vulnerable groups, the women and children that suffer the most from these radical groups seizing power.

NDA govt attempting to shield itself from scrutiny, curtailing access to public info: Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday claimed that the Data Protection Act, 2023 curtails access to public information that is essential for citizens to hold the government accountable, and said the Congress will take necessary steps to protect people's rights. Gandhi made the assertion in a post on X after meeting a diverse group of activists, editors, researchers and domain experts in the Parliament House complex. «Today, I had the opportunity to meet a diverse group of activists, editors, researchers and domain experts in Parliament. They voiced serious concerns about the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, particularly its impact on the scope of the RTI Act,» the former Congress president said. This legislation, under the pretext of safeguarding privacy, curtails access to public information that is essential for citizens and journalists to hold the government accountable, he alleged. «The NDA government is attempting to shield itself from scrutiny, undermining transparency and weakening democratic oversight,» Gandhi claimed. In the interest of accountability and good governance, the Congress will discuss this issue with INDIA bloc leaders and take necessary steps to protect the rights of people, he said.

India must brace for 9-10% power demand surge in 2025 amid rising temperatures, warn experts
Currently, industries, households and agriculture account for 33 per cent, 28 per cent and 19 per cent of India's total electricity consumption, respectively. Household electricity demand has grown the fastest over the past decade, according to Disha Agarwal, Senior Programme Lead — Renewables at the Delhi-based think tank Council on Energy, Environment and Water. The share of household electricity consumption increased from 22 per cent in 2012-13 to 25 per cent in 2022-23. Much of this rise can be attributed to economic growth and the increasing need for cooling due to rising temperatures, experts say.
