REC Ltd secures Japanese green loan of Rs 3,200 crore
REC Ltd on Thursday said it has secured a green loan for JPY 60.536 billion (about Rs 3,200 crore) to finance eligible clean energy projects. The green facility benefits from an 80% guarantee by Italian export credit agency, SACE (Italy). Action plans for banana, mangoes exports among 20 agricultural products in works
action plans for around 20 agricultural products including banana, mangoes, potato and baby corn to boost their exports and these are likely to be ready in the next 3-4 months. “We have identified 20 products. At present, India’s share is low in global exports. We are working on a detailed action for all these products,” said Rajesh Agarwal, additional secretary, department of commerce, adding that the action plan will be discussed with all the stakeholders including states for further action. Fresh grapes, pomegranate, watermelon, guava, green chilly, capsicum, okra, garlic, onion, groundnut, alcoholic beverages, cashew nut, buffalo meat, jaggery, natural honey, and ghee are the other products included in the exercise as India aims to increase its share in global exports to 4-5% in the next few years from 2.5% now.

Poland's president says the NATO member would be ready to host the nuclear weapons of the military alliances's other members in response to Russia's moving its nuclear weapons to neighbouring Belarus. President Andrzej Duda made the comments in an interview published Monday in the Fakt tabloid. Russia is «recently relocating its nuclear weapons to Belarus,» Duda said, in a reference to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko's announcement in December. «If there were a decision by our allies to deploy nuclear weapons within the nuclear sharing also on our territory in order to strengthen the security of NATO's eastern flank, we are ready,» Duda said.
