Ben Stokes, England Test captain, has said his house was burgled this month while he his wife and two children were present and he was in Pakistan for the tour. Stokes was playing in the second Test at Multan when the burglary took place. Ben Stokes revealed that a group of masked men burgled his house and thankfully his wife, Clare, and his kids, Layton and Libby sustained no harm. The harrowing experience of home invasion occurred earlier this month on 17 October. Stokes said the “experience has had an impact on their emotional and mental state”. During the crime, some of Stokes’ most valuable belongings were stolen, for which he has posted an 'appeal for help' to the public and cops, hoping to retrieve some of the items he holds closest.

Indian Army's Romeo Force, in a joint operation with Special Operations Group (SOG) police, busted a terror hideout in the Balnoi sector in Poonch, officials said. According to the Poonch police, the operation that took place on Saturday led to the recovery of two grenades and three PakistMines from the hideout. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said every drop of innocent blood spilled in the valley will be avenged and all capabilities will be used to dismantle the terror ecosystem. Despite the poverty and hunger afflicting its citizens, it persists with its unholy actions of supporting terrorism and trafficking narcotics,» he said. Referring to recent terror attacks in Ganderbal and Baramulla districts, the LG said the terrorists targeted «our brave soldiers, civilians, workers involved in infrastructure projects and some labourers who had come from other places».

A senior officer claimed sniffer dogs directed to the Shranz water canal, where assailants may have gone. Pannnun, along with other pro-Khalistan groups, was at the forefront of propaganda on social media, following which the home ministry in 2019 banned SFJ and a year later designated Pannun as a terrorist under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. After the DoJ indictment of an Indian national, the foreign ministry, however, announced the setting up of a committee to probe the allegations.

I have been witnessing it for the last 30 years, innocent people are getting killed,» Abdullah told reporters. «We are not going to become a part of Pakistan. So, why are they doing this? To disrupt our future? To make us poorer?» he asked.

Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina on Thursday condemned the terror attack in Gulmarg in which two porters working with the Army were killed and four people injured, and blamed Pakistan for trying to destabilise peace and tranquillity in the Union territory. Terrorists opened fire on an Army vehicle in the Bota Pathri area, six kilometres from tourist hotspot Gulmarg in north Kashmir, on Thursday evening. Three soldiers are among the injured. «We condemn the attack carried out by coward Pakistani terrorists on an Army vehicle while taking advantage of darkness. We express condolences to the families of the martyrs,» Raina said. The BJP leader said Pakistan is repeatedly trying to destabilise peace and tranquillity in Kashmir.
