National Hispanic Heritage Month began on Friday, September 15, a number of cultural programs celebrating Latino art and culture were held across the country. It is held every year from September 15 to October 15, to recognize the contributions of Hispanic Americans. Prior to National Hispanic Heritage Month, there was Hispanic Heritage Week. President Lyndon Johnson recognized it as a month of holiday for the first time in 1968.

WWE Royal Rumble 2024 will take place in Tampa in the state of Florida in January next year. It is considered one of the five biggest wrestling events. Tampa also hosted WrestleMania in 2021. This will be the first time since 1995 that WWE Royal Rumble will take place in Tampa. The announcement was made a day after wrestling entertainment company WWE merged with mixed martial arts promotion company UFC to create a new media conglomerate TKO Group Holdings.

The lenders also told the court that the official address of the hedge fund in its regulatory filings is a US restaurant chain, IHOP.

Edtech giant Byju’s, allegedly hid $533 million in an obscure three-year-old hedge fund, according to lenders trying to recover the cash, Bloomberg reported. The allegations are the latest twist in an increasingly public battle between Byju’s, and lenders who claim the $533 million is collateral for a $1.2 billion loan. As per the Bloomberg report, the tech giant in 2022 transferred more than half a billion dollars to Camshaft Capital Fund, some Byju’s lenders claim in a lawsuit.

Florida has recognised November as Hindu Heritage Month. Broward County joins a list of states from across the country, including Georgia, Texas, Ohio, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Virginia, etc, to commemorate Hindu heritage, culture, values, and traditions. November is a significant month for Hindus as they celebrate the festival of lights, Diwali, which falls on the 12th of the month this year. Stating that millions of Americans celebrate the festival every year, including those in the county, the recent resolution called Diwali a «time of peace, joy and new beginnings where people of all ages, especially young children, light oil lamps, burst fireworks and distribute sweets». Welcoming the move, CoHNA (Coalition of Hindus of North America), a Hindu advocacy group in the US, said on Tuesday: «The Resolution also acknowledges Hinduism as one of the world's largest and oldest religions, along with its diverse traditions, collectively known as Sanatana Dharma, with core values of acceptance, mutual respect, freedom and peace.» The resolution also acknowledged the community's contributions towards yoga, ayurveda, meditation, food, music, arts, etc has enriched the cultural fabric and have been widely adopted in American society. It highlighted that the Hindu philosophy of Vedanta and ideals such as selfless service, non-violence, etc have inspired many American intellectuals and leaders, from Martin Luther King, Jr, John D. Rockefeller, Henry David Thoreau, to Aldous Huxley, and many others.
