Daylight saving time 2024 in USA: List of states, US territories that don't follow the practice
Daylight saving time 2024 has begun in the USA and it will end on November 3. During the period spanning from March to November, a common practice among the majority of Americans involves the adjustment of their clocks forward by one hour, known as daylight saving time. Even though there is no federal law to enforce Daylight saving time, most of the states are following the annual practice. However, Arizona and Hawaii do not follow Daylight saving time policy.

Tesla soars 12% on tentative approval for driving system in China
Elon Musk’s quick visit to China paid immediate dividends, with Tesla Inc. receiving in-principle approval from government officials to deploy its driver-assistance system in the world’s biggest auto market. The US carmaker was granted the approval under certain conditions, according to a person with knowledge of the matter, who asked not to be identified because details of all the criteria aren’t clear. Tesla did manage to clear two of the most important hurdles: reaching a mapping and navigation deal with Chinese tech giant Baidu Inc., and meeting requirements for how it handles data-security and privacy issues.

Stress-testing Trump’s claims that the world was calmer on his watch

Tesla’s India entry on ice: Musk yet to firm up plans for India
NEW DELHI : Is Tesla on its way to India, or not? Despite the Indian government's enthusiastic rollout of a new electric vehicle policy primarily aimed at attracting EV makers such as Tesla, the Elon Musk-led automaker has remained non-committal about its plans to enter the Indian market. In fact, Tesla has not conducted any significant studies or held detailed discussions with state governments in India yet, people familiar with the situation told Mint, signalling a lack of immediate intent to establish a manufacturing presence in the country.

US senators object to wheat, rice subsidies in India; USTR says market access to India has improved
India has opened up its market to the American farming industry in as many as 12 different categories, a top Biden administration trade official told lawmakers on Wednesday as some influential senators raised the issue of wheat and rice subsidies in India and alleged forced labour in the country's shrimp industry. US Trade Representative (USTR) Katherine Tie, responding to a series of questions from the senators during a congressional hearing on trade convened by the US Finance Committee, defended the Biden administration's actions. «We are opening markets for hard-working American families and communities, especially our rural communities. Through negotiations, our administration has secured over USD 21 billion in new agricultural market access in the last three years,» she said. «For example, after the US and India terminated seven WTO disputes, India agreed to remove retaliatory tariffs on several US products. This means improved access for chickpeas, lentils, almonds, walnuts and apples, benefiting farmers across our country, including in Michigan, Oregon, California and Washington,» Tie said.
