What is an E-Bike, and how safe are they?
riders have raised concerns about the safety of some types of vehicles, and about whether they legally qualify as e-bikes. Here's what's known about e-bikes and their risks. What is an e-bike? The Consumer Product Safety Commission, the federal agency responsible for regulating the safety and sale of low-speed electric bicycles, defines an e-bike as a two- or three-wheel vehicle that has pedals and an electric motor. The motor must be rated below 750 watts, which is roughly twice the power that a professional cyclist can generate. The rider can use the pedals or the motor, singly or in combination. With the motor alone, the bike must not be capable of going faster than 20 mph on a level surface. State laws govern where e-bikes can be ridden, the minimum age for riders and other rules about how the vehicles are used. To meet federal regulations, bicycle manufacturers have developed a three-tier classification system for e-bikes.

It then placed the boxes on an assembly line and walked back to the shelf to search for more. The crowd, which had assembled at ProMat, the premier trade show for the manufacturing and supply chain industry, held up phones and watched, a little quiet, wondering if at some point the robot would teeter and fall.

HNI will be keen to book a seat on a luxury liner to Antarctica, or go jaunting off as the first lot of space tourists. The latter are more of the Marie Antoinette variety, who really have no clue of what lies out there and how things may be changing even on the wealthy status front.

Oregon Wildfire: Flat fire grows to over 8,200 acres; Know how to stay safe amid heat, fire and smoke
Oregon wildfire activity this week. The Flat Fire, has expanded to 8,204 acres by Tuesday morning, compared to 5,500 acres the previous day, as reported by firefighting teams. The fire is currently active in the Oak Flat and Agness area within Oregon's Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. It is located near the junction of the Illinois and Rogue rivers, approximately one hour east of Gold Beach. Fire teams have projected that the fire will continue to be active on Tuesday, resulting in thick smoke affecting nearby communities. Consequently, an air quality alert has been issued for southern Curry County and certain regions of western Josephine County. Moreover, in order to alert residents, a red flag warning has been issued for the Willamette Valley today from 2 to 8 p.m. This warning is due to the combination of high temperatures, strong winds, and low humidity, which create conditions favorable for rapid fire spread. The warning emphasizes the need for extra caution regarding potential sources of ignition, especially in grassy areas. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged during this time. Keeping in mind the dire situation, it is crucial to understand what you can do to stay safe amid heat, fire and smoke.
