Rupert Murdoch has stepped down from his top roles overseeing his sprawling media empire, to make way for his chosen successor, first son Lachlan Murdoch.

Blue chip cryptocurrency markets are under pressure on Thursday, with Bitcoin (BTC) having dropped more than 2% to the mid-$26,000s and Ether (ETH) down 2.5% under $1,600.

AstraZeneca Plc has been sued in South Carolina by a former senior director who claimed that the company refused to pay her over $125,000 in bonuses because she worked from home in 2022. In the lawsuit, Elmarie Bodes, who was AstraZeneca’s senior director of business transformation until January, said that the drugmaker owed her a $124,443 performance bonus and stock options worth $65,000. Bodes claimed that the company told her because she worked entirely from home last year and did not come to the office at least three days a week, her performance bonus would be cut in half and she would also not get the stock options.

New Delhi: India’s largest airline IndiGo has signed a codeshare partnership with UK flag carrier British Airways InterGlobe Aviation-promoted IndiGo currently has codeshare partnerships with Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, KLM, American Airlines, and Air France. Under a codeshare agreement, airlines agree to sell seats in each other's flights in order to provide their respective customers a wider network. With this codeshare partnership with IndiGo, British Airways will now be able to add three additional routes to their existing network, including Rajkot to London Heathrow via Mumbai, Vadodara to London Heathrow via Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram to London Heathrow via Mumbai.

A crypto wallet belonging to trading platform Binance has spent 530 Ether (ETH), worth around $843,797, in gas fees in just 24 hours, according to blockchain data explorer Etherscan. 

On Wednesday, Sept. 20, the United States House Financial Services Committee marked up two bills to curb the issuance of a central bank digital currency (CBDC). One of the bills would stop the Federal Reserve from running any test programs on CBDCs without congressional approval, while the other would stop federal banks from using CBDCs for some services and products.
