Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said in a conversation with Nvidia chief executive officer (CEO) Jensen Huang. Oyo achieved a profit after tax of Rs 158 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal ended September, founder Ritesh Agarwal told employees in a townhall on Thursday, sources said. Oravel Stays Ltd, the parent company of Oyo, had posted a loss of Rs 50 crore in the same period of the previous year. During the first quarter, Oyo's profit after tax stood at Rs 132 crore. This brings the company's H1 FY25 net profit to Rs 290 crore ($35 million), marking a turnaround from the Rs 91 crore net loss reported in the same period of the previous fiscal, the sources said.

In September 2024, engineering exports increased to US$9.82 billion from US$8.89 billion in the same month last fiscal year, securing 10.55 percent year-on-year growth, according to the industry body Engineering Exports Promotion Council (EEPC). Strides Pharma Science Ltd on Thursday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 93.66 crore in the second quarter ended September 2024. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 149.45 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, Strides Pharma Science said in a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations in the quarter under review stood at Rs 1,201.11 crore as against Rs 999.43 crore in the year-ago period, it added.

Reliance and Nvidia, a leading US-based company in Artificial Intelligence computing has announced a joint attempt in building AI infrastructure in India.
