Israel due to get billions of dollars more in US weapons despite Biden pause

A senior U.S. official said this week that the administration had reviewed the delivery of weapons that Israel might use for a major invasion of Rafah, a southern Gaza city where over 1 million civilians have sought refuge, and as a result paused a shipment of bombs to Israel. Washington has long urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government not to invade Rafah without safeguards for civilians, seven months into a war that has devastated Gaza.

Over 90% of US adults are highly susceptible to heart diseases, claim researchers
study conducted in the US, it has been found that 90 per cent of the adults over the age of 20 are at a high risk of developing a heart disease. This does not mean that 90 per cent of the US Population has full blown heart disease but it only means that they are susceptible to developing conditions which quicken the onset of heart diseases, as per a report on NBC News. Researchers used a model which identified high risk population using the strong links between the heart and those who had obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular issues and Kidney diseases. While it is well known in the medical circles that those who suffer from any of the above mentioned conditions, do develop a susceptibility towards a heart disease, research has only confirmed this.

Canada fines Binance C$6m for AML violations
The Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada says Binance failed to register as a foreign money services business. The company also failed, on thousands of occasions, to report large virtual currency transactions of C$10,000 or more in the course of a single transaction. Binance quit the Canadian market a year ago, citing the regulatory environment. Last week, the crypto giant's founder, Changpeng "CZ" Zhao, was sentenced to four months in prison in the US after pleading guilty to violating anti-money laundering requirements. Zhao pleaded guilty in November as part of deal between Binance and the Department of Justice, Treasury Department and CFTC to settle allegations that the exchange failed to maintain a proper AML programme, operated an unlicensed money-transmitting business and violated sanctions law. The world's largest crypto exchange agreed to forfeit $2.5 billion to the government and pay a fine of $1.8 billion.
