Jack Mintz: Kamala Harris channels Justin Trudeau
After what may end up being the only debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, Americans have no better understanding of the policy positions of the Democrat nominee. Trump, whether you like him or not, is at least a well-known commodity. Harris is not and the debate did little to clarify her vision for the United States.

U.S. Elections: Harris leads Trump by 5 points in the new poll; voters say she won the debate
Donald Trump 47% to 42%. This advantage has grown after a debate between the two candidates that voters largely believed she won, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll that ended on Thursday. In the two-day survey, Harris's lead among registered voters was five percentage points, which was marginally higher than the four points she had over Trump in a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted from August 21–28. 53% of voters who said they had heard at least something about Tuesday's debate claimed Harris had won, 24% claimed Trump had, and the remaining voters either had not heard anything at all or had not responded. About 52% of those who watched the debate said that Trump faltered and didn't look intelligent, whereas 21% said the same about Harris. Five percent of Republican voters thought Trump lacked intelligence. In a fierce presidential debate, Harris repeatedly attacked Trump's suitability for office and his numerous legal issues, bringing up his felony conviction for allegedly falsifying business records. This put Trump on the defensive. Harris gave the impression of having higher moral integrity, according to 52% of voters who were familiar with the debate, compared to 29% who said the same of Trump. U.S Elections: Who is Laura Loomer, far-right activist, who is influencing Donald Trump in his campaign
Laura Loomer, a far-right agitator, stood out from the crowd during Donald Trump's visit to honor the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. Loomer, who is well-known for her divisive remarks, has gotten into Trump's inner circle. She recently went on a trip with him and was spotted with Trump's top advisers on a number of occasions. Her formal position within the campaign is still unknown, but her influence is clear because she often posts messages endorsing Trump's criticism of opponents in politics, as per the reports of CNN Politics.

Springfield, Ohio becomes meme central as Donald Trump’s debunked pet-eating claim fuels Simpsons parodies
Trump made a controversial claim about undocumented Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio. Trump stated that these immigrants were eating local pets, a claim quickly debunked by officials. Trump emphasized his stance on immigration by saying, “In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there.” Vice President Kamala Harris reacted with visible confusion to Trump's statement, which had previously gained attention on social media through Trump's running mate JD Vance. The claim went viral on X (formerly Twitter), where the phrase “They’re eating the dogs” trended and generated nearly 270,000 posts. Many users created humorous content, including setting the comment to music.

US judge dismisses three counts in Trump election case in Georgia
Georgia judge on Thursday dismissed three of the counts in the indictment accusing former US president Donald Trump and co-defendants of conspiring to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the southern state. Two of the three charges thrown out by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee involved Trump, and he now faces a total of eight felony counts in Georgia. McAfee declined, however, to quash the entire indictment, which accuses the Republican presidential candidate and his allies of racketeering and other offenses.

US Elections: Good news for Donald Trump! New Poll says both candidates are tied at 45%

Donald Trump Praises Brittany Mahomes But Criticises Taylor Swift for Endorsing Kamala Harris
Donald Trump spoke with Fox & Friends and discussed Taylor Swift's support of his opponent's campaign. After the debate ended, the music legend formally supported Harris for president. Swift also criticized Trump for having previously created a phony picture of her to give the impression that she was supporting him rather than her. He thinks Mrs. Mahomes is much better. She loves him a lot. Regarding Taylor Swift's support of Harris, Trump declared that he was not a fan anyway, and it was just a question of time. Trump asserts that Swifts's views are very liberal. She appears to consistently support Democrats, and in the marketplace, she will undoubtedly suffer as a result. However, he thinks Britanny is fantastic and far more appealing than Taylor Swift. He also calls her amazing. Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, is married to Brittany Mahomes. Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce is a teammate and close friend of Patrick's. Since Brittany supports Trump and Swift hasn't yet endorsed a candidate, the photo of Swift and Brittany cuddling and getting along at the U.S. Open earlier this month caused controversy on social media.
