Tom Cruise's exciting performance during the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, but his reward may have come as even more of a surprise. The chairman of the LA2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Casey Wasserman, stated that Cruise was thrilled to take part in the historic occasion. As part of his act, he leaped from the Stade de France to receive the official Olympic flag from Olympian Simone Biles and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. After that, Cruise looked amazing. In a pre-recorded section, he was seen riding a motorcycle around Paris, boarding an aircraft close to the Eiffel Tower, and then performing a skydive close to the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, as reported by Yahoo entertainment.
Wasserman explained during a recent CNBC X Boardroom panel that the production of the 15-minute live TV show required a top-notch performer, and Cruise was their choice. Wasserman shared that Cruise was adamant about performing all the stunts himself. Initially, there were doubts about securing the entire footage, with the plan being to use a stunt double for some parts. However, Cruise insisted on doing everything himself. Wasserman recalled that Cruise committed fully to the stunt, even though it was initially thought to be an impossible task.
