There is a wealthy businessman running for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination who has in the past given campaign contributions to Democrats and has a record of statements that don’t always sound like a conservative. His name isn’t Donald Trump. Vivek Ramaswamy, a 37-year-old biotech company founder, has moved into third or fourth place in some state and national polls, and he says his opponents are starting to take notice.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, a vocal crypto advocate, announced that his Presidential campaign is officially accepting donations in the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC). 

Donald Trump said Sunday he will petition to have a different judge oversee his historic criminal trial and for the case to be moved out of Washington. The twice-impeached Republican, who is seeking a return to the White House in 2024, has unleashed a stream of invective against those prosecuting him or running the case in which he faces charges over attempts to overturn the 2020 election results and defraud the United States. His latest target: US District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, the appointee of Democratic former president Barack Obama who was randomly assigned to the case in Washington.

Former President Donald Trump attacked the nation’s capital as a “filthy and crime-ridden embarrassment" as the leading Republican candidate in the 2024 race seeks to move his federal trial on conspiracy and obstruction charges to a more politically friendly venue. “NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL, OR EVEN CLOSE TO A FAIR TRIAL, IN WASHINGTON, D.C.," Trump wrote in an all-capital-letters post on Truth Social, his social media site. He called for a US takeover of the city — which has limited home-rule powers under congressional supervision — a move he said would be unpopular with potential jurors.
