PM Modi scheduled to address an election rally at Modi Stadium in Udhampur on April 12: Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for a series of high-profile political rallies in this region. Ravinder Raina, the BJP's Jammu and Kashmir chief, revealed that the party has mobilised its cadre for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's rally on Wednesday, April 12, in Kathua.

Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and fell into a gorge in Ramban district on Friday, officials said. The vehicle, a Tavera, was on its way to Jammu from Srinagar and it fell into a 300 feet gorge at the Battery Cheshma area of the district around 1.15 am, they said. Ten people have died, the officials said. Police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel are at the spot. The bodies of 10 passengers have been recovered amid heavy rains, the officials said.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday directed the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) to aim for setting up “Bharatiya Antriksha Station", or an Indian space station, by 2035, and seek to land the first Indian on the moon by 2040. The statements were a part of a meeting chaired by Modi to assess the progress made by Isro on India’s manned space mission, Gaganyaan.

ISRO will conduct three more test vehicle missions under the ambitious Gaganyaan programme after the maiden TV-D1 test flight, which is scheduled on October 21, the space agency's chairman S Somanath said on Saturday. The Gaganyaan project envisages a demonstration of the human spaceflight capability by launching a human crew to an orbit of 400 km and bringing them safely back to earth by landing in Indian sea waters. The test vehicle development flight (TV-D1) will be conducted at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh to test the crew module that is scheduled to house Indian astronauts during the human spaceflight late next year.
