The White House has confirmed that US President Joe Biden will travel to New Delhi from 7 to 10 September for the G20 Leaders’ Summit. “President Biden and G20 partners will discuss a range of joint efforts to tackle global issues, including on the clean energy transition and combatting climate change, mitigating the economic and social impacts of Putin’s war in Ukraine, and increasing the capacity of multilateral development banks, including the World Bank, to better fight poverty, including by addressing global challenges. While in New Delhi, President Biden will also commend Prime Minister Modi’s leadership of the G20 and reaffirm the U.S.

The Inflation Reduction Act works in tandem with other new legislative proposals such as the American Rescue Plan and the CHIPS and Science Act to pivot the US towards active government intervention in industry, through direct investments, tax credits, subsidies and some import tariffs.

This led to rescue operations in response to rising rivers and compelled some of the largest school districts in the country to cancel classes on Monday. Hilary caused intensified precipitation to the region, resulting in considerable rainfall in mountainous and desert locales. Some of these areas received over half of the average annual rainfall in just a single day. Notably, Palm Springs, a desert resort city, received nearly 3 inches of rainfall by Sunday evening. The storm's impact included the uprooting of trees and the triggering of mudslides in the San Diego vicinity. As President Joe Biden prepared to travel to Hawaii on Monday to assess the aftermath of devastating wildfires in Maui, he urged all individuals in the storm's path to exercise caution and adhere to the guidance provided by state and local authorities.
