Manipur, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday alleged the ruling party deliberately wants the border state to burn as «it serves their hateful divisive politics». Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has cancelled his poll rallies in Maharashtra in view of the escalating violence in Manipur. Kharge said the people of state will never forgive or forget that Prime Minister Narendra Modi left them to fend for themselves and never set foot in their state to heal their miseries. Sharad Pawar's bags were checked by the poll personnel at Baramati helipad in Maharashtra's Pune district on Sunday morning, according to his associate. Pawar was on way to attend a poll rally in Solapur, the associate said. The model of code of conduct is enforced in the state for the assembly elections scheduled on November 20. «While Pawar saheb was on his way to Karmala poll rally in Solapur, his bags were checked at the Baramati helipad. Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday criticised the Congress for overlooking the significant contributions of the tribal community in India's fight for independence. Speaking at a programme marking the birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda, the DoNER and communications minister called the tribal leaders «heroes not only for the tribal community but for the entire nation.» «Birsa Munda fought a decisive battle against British rule and made the ultimate sacrifice for Bharat Mata. He is a hero to 140 crore people in India, not just the janajati (tribal) community,» Scindia said, asserting that India's history would be incomplete without acknowledging the tribal contributions to the freedom struggle. Taking aim at the Congress, Scindia claimed that the tribals were neglected under its rule and their historical contributions were forgotten.

Amit Shah said on Friday that election officials at Maharashtra's Hingoli checked the helicopter ferrying him and his bags. Shah is in the state to campaign for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance ahead of the November 20 assembly polls. In a post on X, Shah said the BJP believes in free and fair elections and follows all laid-down rules and protocols. «In a healthy electoral system, we all should contribute and fulfil our duties to make India the strongest democracy in the world,» he said.

Can't you print proper copies of the Constitution? You chant the name of the Constitution but circulate a blank book. They (Congress) are wearing a burkha (veil) of the Constitution but are blank inside. They have no respect for the Constitution,» Fadnavis said.

ePlane Company, incubated at IIT-Madras and aiming to become one of the main players in India’s electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) mobility sector, on Friday announced the closure of a $14 million funding round. With this funding, ePlane is poised to become the largest-funded eVTOL player in India, the company said in a statement. Founder of the startup and IIT-Madras aerospace engineering professor Satya Chakravarthy told ET that the government's support and announcement of certification standards have helped strengthen investor confidence. “Among the new investors, we can clearly see that their conviction about air taxis is much stronger compared to their interest in just commercialising drones,” he said.
