India and France as a symbol of deep trust, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the two nations want to co-develop and co-produce defence technology not just for domestic requirements but to export to friendly nations as well. The PM said that France was a natural partner for India's journey towards becoming a developed nation and a roadmap for strategic partnership for the next 25 years would be established. In a statement issued to the media before bilateral talks, the PM referred to joint production initiatives.

Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 14 July while addressing the gathering at Élysée Palace in Paris. He also added that India has agreed to launch India's Unified Payment Interface in France. "We have agreed to launch India's Unified Payment Interface in France," PM Modi said at the Élysée Palace.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Friday. Addressing an intellectuals' meet organised by the district unit of BJP in Udupi, she said the BJP rule was marked by «Seva, inclusion and improvement of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).» The reforms brought in by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led union government in the financial sector has helped the ease of doing business, particularly in the small and medium sector in the country, she noted. She further said the Modi government has accorded priority to the growth of MSMEs by removing archaic laws and compliance burden.

Kiren Rijiju on Friday announced that instruments for extensive weather reading and three large Doppler Radar stations will be installed in Arunachal Pradesh soon. Chairing a day-long farmers awareness programme, Union Minister of Earth Sciences said that the installation of the instruments would result in accurate weather forecasts in the state which would directly benefit the farmers to plan their agricultural activities for maximising productivity and minimising losses. He urged the farmers to increase agricultural productivity by using scientific applications. The minister, who represents the Western Parliamentary constituency in the state, informed that since climate is an important factor in everyone's lives and the fast-changing climate due to global warming is going to have an impact, all need to change lifestyles and respond to it scientifically. He appealed to the farmers to take full advantage of the programme.

Chandrayaan 3’, ISRO’s (Indian Space Research Organisation) third mission to the moon, successfully took off from the Satish Dhawan Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Several celebs took to social media, to gush about this milestone moment and congratulate ISRO on this momentous occasion. Narendra Modi, India's Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu has met leaders from the area of critical and emerging technologies in Silicon Valley as part of iCET initiative. The Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies or iCET has emerged as a key pillar of the India-US relationship following the maiden state visit of Prime Minister Modi to the US from June 21 to 23. The initiative was launched early this year by the two national security advisors — Jake Sullivan from the US and Ajit Doval from India — but it has been propelled to a new height by Prime Minister Modi and President Joe Biden.

Rafale fighters of the Indian Air Force (IAF) participated in a flypast over the Champs-Elysees at the Bastille Day Parade. The Punjab Regiment led the march and was followed by the Indian Navy and then the Air Force as the left their mark at the annual parade to mark the historic fall of Bastille in 1789. The Punjab Regiment was led by Captain Aman Jagtap whie the Indian naval contingent was led by Commander Vrat Baghel.

Chandrayaan-3 launch cheered outside the mission control center and waved the national flag as they watched the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft rise into the sky, as applause and cheers swept through the mission centre and the ISRO. Chandrayaan-3 took off at 14:35 pm with an orbiter, a lander and a rover. The spacecraft is set to embark on a journey lasting slightly over a month before landing on the moon’s surface later in August.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day France visit, on Thursday announced that India’s UPI would now work in France. Addressing the Indian diaspora in a glittering event in Paris, PM Modi said that India’s Unified Payments Interface will now be active in France starting with iconic Eiffel Tower. In simple terms this means that Indian visitors would be able to make payments in France in Indian rupee.

Ayush sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said on Friday. Sonowal was addressing a function after inaugurating an Ayush facility at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) near here. In the last nine years, Ayush has gained accessibility and credibility in the world and people are increasingly accepting it as a method to make their lives better, the minister said. Speaking about the Ayush centre at the GMCH, Sonowal said the centre is dedicated to the people of Goa and will be the first such facility in the country. He appealed to the state government to «disseminate information, education and communication» about Ayush (Ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and homeopathy) in the state. The state government should set up camps in villages and increase public participation, the minister said.

Congress on Friday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence on Manipur and alleged that it seems he has taken a «vow of total silence» on the violence in the northeastern state. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said it was good to hear that the prime minister has shown concern over the flood situation in Delhi, asserting that he should also show interest in Manipur, which is still burning.

Indian railways is likely to launch four new trains on Delhi-Chandigarh, Chennai-Tirunelveli, Gwalior-Bhopal and Lucknow-Prayagraj routes, a report by The Hindu has stated.  As per the report, these trains are likely to be launched by the end of this month. Officials also told the daily that of the four trains, only one route might have 16-coach while others are likely to be eight coach trains.  Meanwhile recently, railway officials had said that the rake of Indian-built semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express will be 'saffron' in colour.

Narendra Modi about the flood-like situation and told him that the water level in the Yamuna is expected to come down in the next 24 hours. ISRO's high-profile launch of the year, the Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission, all eyes are on the country's space agency whose scientists are keen to taste success with a soft landing on lunar surface and put the country in an elite club of nations that have accomplished the challenging task. 'Fat boy' LVM3-M4 rocket will carry Chandrayaan-3 on Friday as part of the country's ambitious moon mission. The Indian Space Research Organisation will be launching the hugely anticipated mission from this spaceport at 2.35 pm on Friday. The soft landing on moon's surface is planned for late August. Chandrayaan-2 failed to achieve the desired soft landing on the moon surface in 2019, leaving the ISRO team dejected. Images of an emotional then ISRO chief K Sivan being consoled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was present to achieve the rare feat, remains vivid in the memory of many. Scientists at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre here, after investing many hours of hardwork, now aim at mastering the technology of soft-landing on the surface of the moon. A success would make India only the fourth country to achieve the feat after the United States, China and the former Soviet Union. Chandrayaan-3 is the third lunar exploration mission ready for take off in the fourth operational mission (M4) of LVM3 launcher. ISRO is crossing new frontiers by demonstrating soft-landing on the lunar surface by its lunar module and demonstrating roving on the lunar terrain, the space agency said. The 25.30 hour countdown for the launch is underway.

Narendra Modi announced that Indian students who are pursuing their Masters in France will now be given a five-year post study work visa. Earlier, Indian students were given two-year work visa.

Marseille will be India's second consulate in France. Currently, India has only one consulate in Paris. “With the help of the French government, the Indian government has decided to open a new consulate in Marseille,” PM Modi announced during his Thursday address. “With this, things will be much more efficient for you all,” he added. «Today's scene, this scene is wonderful in itself. This welcome is full of joy. Away from the country, when I hear the call of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, it feels as if I have come home. Wherever we Indians go, we definitely create a mini India,» he said. He called his visit to France «special» as France is celebrating its National Day and congratulated the people on the occasion.
