Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla told European Parliament vice-president Nicola Beer in a bilateral meeting here on Saturday. Birla said this in protest against European Parliament's July resolution on the human rights situation in India in the backdrop of violence in Manipur.

In the letter to Birla, Dubey accused Ali of offering a «running commentary» during Bidhuri's speech in Lok Sabha on Thursday and making «unsavoury remarks aimed at instigating him to lose his composure. Reacting to Dubey's allegations, Ali said, „I have seen Nishikant Dubey's letter.

Nishikant Dubey, another BJP MP Ravi Kishan Shukla wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday urging him to examine the conduct of BSP MP Danish Ali, alleging «unparliamentary» acts and use of words by the opposition lawmaker in the House. With opposition parties demanding stringent action against BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri over his derogatory remarks against Ali in the House on Thursday, Dubey had alleged that the BSP MP had made unsavoury remarks aimed at instigating the ruling party member. In his letter to the Speaker, Shukla said whatever words Bidhuri used against Ali are «unacceptable in any way» but the circumstances that led to the use of «such objectionable» words by an MP against another member of Parliament in the House «needs to be revisited and examined». The Lok Sabha MP from Gorakhpur said that some «unprecedented and unparliamentary things» happened on September 21 in Lok Sabha.

Danish Ali on the floor of the Lok Sabha during a discussion on the country's successful lunar landing mission — Chandrayaan-3, BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri on Sunday sidestepped a direct query on his remarks. To a question on his remarks, which saw the BSP MP writing to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and several Opposition members calling for his dismissal from the Lower House as well as the BJP, Budhuri on Sunday said, «No comments.» He added that Speaker Birla was «looking into the matter». Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had expressed regret in the House immediately after Bidhuri made the objectionable remarks and said, “I express regret if the opposition is hurt by the remarks made by the member." Singh also said he had not heard the remarks and urged the Chair to delete them from the proceedings if they have hurt the opposition members. Congress member K Suresh, who was in the Chair, said he had already directed the officials to expunge the remarks.
