Anil Kumble makes a special demand after R Ashwin's 500th Test wicket: ‘Very proud, you need to finish…’
Ravichandran Ashwin reached a remarkable milestone of 500 international Test wickets during the 3rd Test of the ongoing 5-match series between India and England. In doing so, the veteran off-spinner broke many records and took his place among the legends of the game such as Muttiah Muralitharan and Anil Kumble. Ashwin's 500th wicket came when he came into the attack during the 1st innings of the Test match in Rajkot and within the 7 balls of his spell, the veteran spinner managed to remove England opener Zack Crawley from the crease.

What should be your investment strategy in this record-high environment? Here's how your model portfolio should look
what should be your trading strategy in this record-high environment? How should your portfolio look like? Here's what experts said: Tanvi Kanchan, Head – UAE Business & Strategy, Anand Rathi Shares and Stock Brokers For investors looking at the long-term perspective, short-term volatility can be used to increase exposure in sectors that are lower than long-term averages, as well as increasing large-cap exposure in the portfolio. An allocation between equity and debt as per tenor and risk profile can be maintained in the range of 60% - 70% in equity and balance in debt for an aggressive investor. Investors would do well to keep rebalancing their asset allocation and equity portfolio to realise profits from the equity portion (if it has overshot the allocated percent).

Mutual funds join multi-billion dollar PSU rally, eye 2014 record in election year
dollar rags-to-riches story of Indian PSU stocks is leaving mutual fund managers with no option but to join the party even if they are late than momentum-chasing retail investors. The ownership of PSUs in mutual funds has just crossed a 3-year high and looks poised to break the levels seen during the 2019 and 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The first leg of MFs chasing PSU stocks, which was in sync with global revival in value trade, began in 2021-2022 but was restricted to few largecap PSU stocks only.

The meltdown in chocolate is coming
cocoa market I was in Yamoussoukro, the colossal capital city of Ivory Coast. “The problem with cocoa is that’s a poor man’s crop,” explained my dining companion, a government official-turned-businessman. “Do you see any commercial plantation around here? No,” he said. “And do you know why? Because prices aren’t high enough.” Only because millions of West African farmers saw cocoa as their only way to escape abject poverty, the world had plentiful supply and low prices. As a result, you and I have been enjoying the pleasures of chocolate on the cheap for decades.

Asia stocks struggle even as China slashes rates
interest rate cut in China failed to excite investors jaded at the lack of bigger stimulus measures. China's five-year loan prime rate was lowered by 25 basis points to 3.90%, bigger than the five to 15 bp cuts forecast by economists. The Shanghai Composite, however, fell 0.7% in early trade and blue chips fell 0.6%.
