JP Nadda, chaired the BJP's General Secretary meeting at his residence in Delhi, following the announcement of election dates in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana by the Election Commission of India on Friday. The meeting was attended by the BJP's national general secretaries to discuss the effective functioning of the NDA alliance. The meeting also saw the presence of national general secretaries of the NDA. Former AAP leader Jagbir Singh Brar joined the BJP here on Tuesday ahead of the remaining two phases of the Lok Sabha elections. Brar, a former Punjab MLA, joined the BJP here at the party headquarters in the presence of senior leaders, including party national general secretary Tarun Chugh. BJP has prepared a two-month plan to facilitate the visit of pilgrims to Ayodhya starting from January 25 and create a 'Diwali like' atmosphere on January 22, the day of consecration of Ram temple.
