Hostage crisis ends at Hamburg Airport after 18-hour standoff
hostage situation at Hamburg Airport has concluded after a grueling 18-hour standoff, as confirmed by local law enforcement. On Saturday night, a 35-year-old man forcefully breached the airport's security barrier, driving his vehicle onto the airport tarmac with his four-year-old daughter aboard, positioning the car beneath a parked plane. Surprisingly, the individual surrendered himself «without resistance,» leading to his immediate arrest, according to the police. In a reassuring update, authorities reported that the child appeared to be physically unharmed during the ordeal, as conveyed through their message on X (formerly Twitter). While the issue was resolved, the incident majorly affected the flight schedules, furthermore causing disruptions for several other flights to and from the airport. As airport operation have gone back to normal, passengers will still continue to experience significant delays.

Arun Shourie was probably right on Jet Airways' Naresh Goyal
quoted by others such as Sucheta Dalal: “Shourie then read out the recommendations of several parliamentarians, as well as those of the Standing Committee of Parliament. Lo and behold, they were the same as FICCI's, right down to the etceteras." Shourie asked his audience if it was a case of “Great minds that think alike? Or one great mind that was making everyone think alike?" Clearly it was the latter--Shourie informed the audience that FICCI’s aviation committee was chaired by none other than Naresh Goyal of Jet Airways, who had a vested interest in ensuring that foreign airlines did not control Air India (probably because it could result in serious competition for Jet). Shourie later narrated the incident in Parliament, when he also referred to Goyal as the “so-called" owner of Jet Airways.

The operating margin subsequently expanded to 16.4% from 1.8% a year ago. At 11.10 a.m., the scrip was trading 1% higher at Rs 2,532.7 on BSE. Should you buy, sell or hold IndiGo's stock? Here's what analysts say: BofA Securities BofA Securities maintained a 'Buy' rating on InterGlobe Aviation and raised the target price to Rs 2700 from Rs 2600 earlier. The Q2 PAT beat was largely driven by one-off reversals of provisions and one-off compensations.
