Apple, an adviser to Europe's top court on Thursday said an European Union (EU) tribunal made legal errors when it ruled in favour of the iPhone maker over a $14 billion tax order. The adviser also said the case should be reviewed again. In 2016, the European Commission had said that Apple benefited from two Irish tax rulings for more than two decades that artificially reduced its tax burden to as low as 0.005% in 2014.

Rather than adding new features, company engineers were tasked with fixing the flaws and improving the performance of the software, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the matter is private.

Ipsita Dasgupta, senior vice president and managing director of HP India, has purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Worli locality for more than Rs 22.50 crore. Dasgupta was roped in by HP India from Apple in October and will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s strategy and profit and loss (P&L) in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. She has bought the apartment on 4th floor of super-premium project Raheja Artesia from the developer K Raheja Corp Homes. The deal was executed by Genext Hardware & Parks, one of the subsidiaries of the real estate developer. The deal, executed on October 26, has attracted more than Rs 22.56 lakh in fees, showed documents accessed through Zapkey.com.
