Samsung retailers in the rest of Maharashtra region have called for a protest in Pune against the South Korean smartphone major over uncleared dues to the tune of Rs 50 crore pending for over a year. State retailer association has raised concerns over inaction within Samsung’s teams after making commitments of clearing the pending dues which arose due to a change in guard in distributorship in the region. Samsung ended a long-standing distributor relationship with SSK, which is part of the Syska group in March 2023 in Maharashtra, appointing two new distributors — Bengaluru-based ABM Group and Kolkata-based Karuna Marketing, ET reported last year in June.

Bandhan Bank's founder and managing director Chandrashekhar Ghosh will not be part of the bank's board in a non-executive role once he retires on 9 July. Sanofi on Friday said it has obtained approval for IMOVAX-Polio, an alternative injectable vaccine, to replace the Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) ShanIP in India. IMOVAX-Polio is an alternative IPV vaccine that has been used in more than 100 countries for over 40 years, a Sanofi India spokesperson told PTI. The vaccine has the same composition/formulation as ShanIPV, the spokesperson added. «We wish to assure all stakeholders that there will be no shortage of IPV vaccines in India on our account, towards safeguarding the nation's status of remaining polio-free. We remain fully committed to fulfilling our public health mission in India,» the spokesperson noted.
