How being aware of good habits can help you thrive
good habits — because good habits are not so deep-rooted as bad habits. Good habits need much sacrifice on your part, so, very few people try to cultivate good habits. And even those who try to cultivate good habits try very few good habits; just underneath, there are many bad habits. First, try neutral, then good, then move by and by to bad habits. And, finally, remember that each habit has to be made aware. Once you have become aware of your whole habitual pattern, that habitual pattern is your mind. Any day the shift will happen. Suddenly, you will be in no-mind — when all the habits of your life have become aware… Any day, when that situation, that point, comes — at one hundred degrees — suddenly, a shift will happen....

VP Jagdeep Dhankhar targets Rahul Gandhi over quota remark, says it shows 'anti-constitutional mindset'
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on «ending reservation», Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday said such comments by a person holding a constitutional post shows «anti-constitutional mindset». Addressing a public event in Mumbai, Dhankhar also said that awareness about India's Constitution is highly needed as some people have forgotten its soul. «A person from a constitutional post saying on a foreign land that reservation should be ended underscores the same anti-constitutional mindset. The baton of prejudices against reservation has been handed over. It is the same old anti-constitutional mindset,» he said. «Reservation is not against meritocracy, but it is the soul of the country and the Constitution. It is an affirmative action and not negative. It is not depriving someone of opportunity but handholding those who are pillars of strength of the society,» the vice president said.

WhatsApp getting AI assistants for small companies to customise ads
WhatsApp voice calling for businesses, GenAI integration, click-to-WhatsApp ads are the next big disruption which will “turbo-charge” the platform’s growth in India, Nikhila Srinivasan, VP Product Management at Meta told ET. After disrupting the SMS channel, WhatsApp is piloting calling functionality for large enterprises, which could cause a channel shift from IVR telephony currently used for customer services. “We look at it differently than traditional calling, and, by the way, calling is something which business users have been seeking from us for long,” Srinivasan said, explaining that WhatsApp users will be able to make outbound calls to customer service agents of businesses in the context of already active chat.

Siddaramaiah writes to CMs of 8 states on unfair devolution of taxes by Centre
Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said he has written to the Chief Ministers of eight states regarding the «unfair» devolution of taxes by the Union government, and has invited them to a conclave in Bengaluru to collectively deliberate on the issues of «fiscal federalism». He said he has written to the Chief Ministers of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, and Punjab. «States with higher GSDP (Gross State Domestic Product) per capita, like Karnataka and others, are being penalised for their economic performance, receiving disproportionately lower tax allocations. This unjust approach undermines the spirit of cooperative federalism and threatens the financial autonomy of progressive states,» he said in a post on 'X' with "#OurTaxOurRight" hashtag. «I have invited them to a conclave in Bengaluru to collectively deliberate on the issues of fiscal federalism at a juncture when the Finance Commission needs to make a directional shift & create incentives for growth and better tax mobilisation,» he said.
