Police divers have resumed searching for six people believed trapped in the hull of a superyacht that sank off Sicily

Jonathan Bloomer wasn't a chairman of Morgan Stanley International in the investment banking sense of the word. He was a chairman of Morgan Stanley International in the standard sense of the word: Bloomer has chaired Morgan Stanley's London board of directors since 2016 as part of a portfolio of non-executive director roles. Bloomer and his wife, Judy Bloomer, were both aboard British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch's superyacht, which sank off the coast of Sicily in the early hours of Monday (19 August). Their family has described them as «incredible people and an inspiration to many».  «We are grieving for our loved ones and all of those affected by the tragedy. Italian coast guard officials said on Tuesday that Lynch and Bloomer were among the six people still not found. The other individuals include Hannah, Bloomer's 18-year-old daughter, Clifford Chance attorney Chris Morvillo and his wife Judy, and Bloomer's wife Neda. On Monday, a storm formed around the 184-foot British-flagged yacht The Bayesian, which was moored approximately half a mile offshore. According to civil protection officials, they think the ship was hit by a waterspout, a tornado, that crossed the water and swiftly sank the yacht. On the Giornale di Sicilia website, grainy footage from shore-based closed-circuit cameras depicted the Bayesian's lit 246-foot mast enduring the storm before it vanished within a minute.

Also missing are Mike Lynch, the yacht's owner, his 18-year-old daughter Hannah, and Chris Morvillo, a lawyer at Clifford Chance. Italian authorities confirm their disappearance, as reported by The Times. The Bayesian, a 56-meter superyacht, sank early Monday morning off the coast of Sicily. The vessel, which had been anchored near Porticello, was struck by a tornado. Initial assessments suggest that the yacht's large aluminum mast may have contributed to its instability and subsequent sinking, as per the reports of Yahoo news.
